Travel Diary // Valentine’s Day in Nevada City

I think I’m behind on these weekly posts. Whoops! This week I’m sharing a little bit of our Valentine’s adventures. The whole days was planned by my amazing man and I’m lucky to have him as my Valentine. We started the day at breakfast at Sin of Cortez (a definite Chico fave!) and then headed up the mountain to the cutest little town of Nevada City. We wandered around downtown, drank coffee at The Curly Wolf, wine tasted at Nevada City Winery, and got snacks and more coffee at Three Forks Bakery and Brewery. Our day ended with a relaxing evening in Chico and I couldn’t have asked for anything...

Bay Area Wedding Photographer // Stephanie and Paul’s Hidden Villa Wedding in Lost Altos

I’m loving updating my portfolio because I get to go back to revisit and relive past weddings. Stephanie and Paul’s is still one of my all-time favorites. Their wedding was at Hidden Villa in Los Altos – a stunning venue made even more amazingly beautiful by all of Stephanie’s creative touches. Stephanie is an artist, a creative and made many of the details of her wedding including the cake topper, invitations, and programs. (You can find her on instagram as @stefoochi, on etsy at Drawn Heart and The Darling Dog, and on her blog, Stephanie Sousa Artistry.) Thank you for allowing me to capture your day, Stephanie and Paul. You guys are killing it at life together! One thing that I have found surprising is how much I’m liking black and white these days. Eight or ten years ago I LOVED b&w and then got over it and now I’m really loving it again these days. So...

Chico Engagement Photographer // Lacy and Alex’s Forest Engagement Session

Oh, Lacy and Alex. Are they not the cutest? These two are stylish, talented, and beautiful. They’re also sweet. And fun. When I found out they got engaged I was crossing my fingers that I would get to shoot their wedding and I’m SO excited that I get to in the Fall! The original plan was to do their engagement session in the snow, but when the snow melted they decided to stick with the forest, anyway.  I’m so glad they did because I love how these turned...
